NEW Term 20 Life Insurance

Long-term, stable protection for your family’s future

You never know when life will take an unexpected turn. The good news is that you now have the chance to help secure your family’s future for longer than ever.

Our NEW Term 20 Life Insurance, with exclusive rates for Engineers Canada members offers lasting protection for those who matter most.

Coverage ranges from $50,000 to $2 million (in increments of $25,000). Additionally, if you’re diagnosed with a critical illness and have less than 12 months to live, you can get up to 50% of your coverage (max. $200,000) through a built-in Living Benefit — providing you’ve had coverage for at least two straight years.

You and your spouse can each enjoy up to $2 million in coverage.

Coverage to age 90

Qualifying for life insurance may become difficult as you get older. Engineers Canada-sponsored Term Life coverage continues to age 90 so you can keep renewing your insurance without any additional medical tests required at the time of renewal. This means you can stay covered long into your retirement years regardless of how your health may change.

Up to 50% cash advance

If you are diagnosed as terminally ill with less than 12 months to live prior to age 85, you can apply to receive a cash advance of up to 50% of your Term Life Insurance amount (to a maximum of $200,000). This is called a Living Benefit. It is automatically added at no extra cost to Term Life plans that have been in effect for two years.

Not tied to your employer

Even if you're already covered at work, keep in mind that most employer plans end when you leave. Engineers Term Life is not tied to your employer so you stay protected even if you change jobs, retire or move to anywhere in the world.

We make it easy to budget for your family’s protection by offering the same guaranteed rate for 20 years. After your initial 20-year term, your policy will renew automatically for another 20 years, or up until age 90, when coverage expires. No new medical questions or exams needed at time of renewal, even if your health has changed.

Only pay for what you need with coverage available from $50,000 to $2 million. Available in $25,000 increments. Not sure how much coverage you need? Get an estimate with our Life Insurance Calculator.

Fast and easy approval: no medical tests are typically required if you’re age 50 or under for any amount of coverage when applying. The same goes if you’re age 51 to 55 applying for up to $250,000.1

Non-smokers pay less: get a discounted rate if you haven’t used any form of tobacco or tobacco cessation products in the last 12 months.2
